Constitution and Citizenship Day
As an institution that receives federal funds, Grays Harbor College will hold an educational program commemorating the September 17, 1787 signing of the United States Constitution on or shortly after September 17th each year. Given that Grays Harbor College operates on the quarter system, often times, the college is not in session on September 17th. In this case, GHC will celebrate Constitution and Citizenship Day during the first week after September 17th in which classes begin for Fall quarter.
This will be accomplished through the following actions:
- During the first week of Fall quarter, GHC Student Life will host at least one educational program and/or activity regarding the United States Constitution (ex: speaker, handouts, signage, tabling, etc.)
- GHC Student Life will collaborate with any faculty and/or staff who wish to participate in this program/activity in order to increase awareness across campus for all
