Human Biology
- is a science distribution
credit (rather than an elective) for the Associate of Arts Degree at
- includes some anatomy and physiology as well as related ecological, health and nutrition issues.
- is an alternative to Biology 101, particularly for those students for whom this may be their only shot at a college biology course.
- has no prerequisite and will also serve as an alternative to Biology 208 for the Medical Records Certificate.
- is a neat course, an informative course, and a chance to learn how your body works.
- doesn't require students to do dissections.
Many students take this course to prepare for Biology 208/209, Introduction to Anatomy/Physiology I and II. However, Human Biology is not a pre-requisite for Biology 208. The pre-requisite for Biology 208 is Biology 101.
