Every quarter, the Grays Harbor College HUB fills up with admissions representatives from colleges and universities from around the state. This is the perfect opportunity for you to get some great information as you decide where to transfer and learn how to make that transition a reality.
Admissions representatives have a broad knowledge about the schools they serve and can answer a wide variety of questions. Stop by and ask questions such as:
- What majors are offered and what are some details about these majors?
- What classes should GHC students take to prepare for a chosen major?
- What does it take to get accepted?
- How much is tuition?
- What kind of financial aid and scholarships are available?
- What are the housing options?
- When are the deadlines?
Planning Your Transfer to a 4-year School
Planning to transfer? Need to know the requirements of the school you hope to enter? Or are you just trying to understand exactly what a transfer degree is and if it is the right degree for you?
Transferring can involve many details and much planning. It involves picking your top choices for schools and learning what classes to take to prepare for your chosen major. It involves discovering the application procedures for admission and financial aid, and it involves making the transition from GHC to your new school by registering for classes and for many relocating and obtaining housing. You are not alone in the process and have advisors to help.
You are encouraged to contact your assigned advisor to discuss your options and determine the best transfer plan for you. Also, once you have selected your transfer school, contact them as soon as possible to arrange a tour and to meet with a transfer advisor.
