• Comcast is offering two months of free internet service to low-income households.
• Some cell phone carriers are offering increased data plans at no cost to create WiFi hotspots at home. Check with your cell provider to see if they’re offering this service.

From Public Wifi

Public wifi can provide access from a safe place, such as your car. Here are some tips for using public wifi:

• Please allow enough time to test the wifi access point prior to the start of class.
• Before accessing public wifi, make sure your antivirus or malware protection is turned on and current.
• Don't save passwords in the browser and use private/incognito windows whenever possible.
• Ensure your safety by locking your car doors and practicing social distancing at all times.
• Fully charge your laptop and/or cell phone before leaving home.
• Dress in layers and take a blanket to save on fuel costs.

    • The best wifi signal strength is in the parking spots closest to the building. Students select Starbucks wifi and they will be required to enter their email address to access the wifi. The further away from the building the less it works.
