Associate in Arts - Direct Transfer Agreement

This degree requires courses primarily from the liberal arts area which are transferable to senior institutions.  It is appropriate for students who will ultimately seek a bachelor degree from a four year college or university.  A student transferring with an Associate in Arts degree enters all Washington public and many private four-year institutions with junior-level standing and all general education requirements satisfied.

Summary of Requirements

Complete a minimum of ninety credits in courses numbered 100 or above with a minimum of 2.0 cumulative GPA.

Basic Requirements

  • 10 credits communications
  • 5 credits quantitative/symbolic reasoning skills (for which successful completion of ("C" or better) intermediate algebra is a required prerequisite]

Distribution Requirements

  • 15 credits social science electives
  • 15 credits humanities electives
  • 15 credits natural sciences electives, including laboratory science

Specified Electives

  • 15 specified credits additional coursework from the distribution requirement course list or from the specified elective list

General Electives

  • 15 credits maximum of general electives

  • fulfill all obligations to the college, financial or otherwise
  • fulfill general requirements for all degrees as described on page 27 of the Academic Catalog
