Shaelyn Martens Receives Presidential Scholar Award

At last month's graduation ceremony, GHC celebrated the accomplishments of the Class of 2022. Unfortunately, Shaelyn Martens was not recognized as a Presidential Scholar at the ceremony. Today, we had the chance to apologize for our mistake and honor Shaelyn with her Presidential Scholars plaque.

Shaelyn graduated from GHC with one of the top GPAs in her class. While attending GHC as a Running Start student, she participated in a number of extracurricular activities, which included serving as President of the Future Business Leaders of America and Spanish Clubs at Montesano High School. Shaelyn also participated in NHS, FCA, Fashion Club, ASB, Knowledge Bowl, Volleyball, FCCLA, Young Life, and Wyld Life.

In just a couple of weeks, Shaelyn will begin classes at Hillsdale College in Michigan, where she will major in Political Economy and minor in Psychology, with the goal of becoming a lawyer. We are proud of Shaelyn for all of her accomplishments as a GHC student, and we are excited to see what she accomplishes next!
