Hannia Alejandre - 2024 Top Scholar

Each year, Grays Harbor College recognizes students with the highest grade point average (GPA) in the graduating class. Hannia Alejandre is one of the Top Scholars in the Class of 2024, graduating with a perfect 4.0 GPA.

Hannia graduated from Hoquiam High School and also earned an Associate of Arts degree from GHC. Hannia's favorite class at GHC was Film Interpretation.

During her time at GHC, Hannia participated in the TRIO Upward Bound program and the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, demonstrating her commitment to academic excellence and community.

This fall, Hannia will be transferring to the University of Washington to study Medicine. When reflecting on her time at GHC, Hannia said, "I would like to thank my parents, as well as Molly Zinkle and Sarina Tung for their guidance through the hectic chapter of my life."

Hannia's advice for future students: "Take advantage of all the wonderful support and resources available."
