Each year, Grays Harbor College recognizes students with the highest grade point average (GPA) in the graduating class. Kailey Pendergrass is one of the Top Scholars in the Class of 2024, graduating with a perfect 4.0 GPA.

Kailey graduated from Aberdeen High School and from GHC with an Associate of Arts - Direct Transfer degree. Her favorite class at GHC was Human Anatomy and Physiology.

In addition to her studies, Kailey participated in many extracurriculars, which included serving as the student body president at AHS, playing volleyball, and participating in competitive cheer and dance. Kailey also worked as a lifeguard at the YMCA.

Looking ahead, Kailey plans to attend Washington University in St. Louis, where she plans to major in Chemistry or Biology with the goal of becoming a doctor or surgeon.

Kailey's advice for future students is to always ask for help and ask questions, as it will help you understand the material better and teach you how to speak up.

Kailey would like to express her gratitude to Lori Christmas for always answering questions and helping Running Start students navigate GHC. "We couldn't have done it without her!" Kailey said.
