Each year, Grays Harbor College recognizes students with the highest grade point average (GPA) in the graduating class. Kristina Goulet is one of the Top Scholars in the Class of 2024, graduating with a perfect 4.0 GPA.

Kristina is a Hoquiam High School graduate who also graduated with an Associate of Arts degree from GHC. Kristina's favorite class was Math for Elementary Education, taught by Taya Do.

Kristina was actively involved in extracurricular activities, including HHS ASB/Leadership, Volleyball, Cheerleading, Football Chair, and serving as President of the National Honor Society.

When asked what advice she would give future students, Kristina said, "don't procrastinate! It will cause unneeded stress and worries."

This fall, Kristina will attend the University of Washington to earn a bachelor’s degree in applied mathematics. She also plans to earn a teaching certificate and teach high school math and leadership.

"Thank you to my mom and dad, as well as my siblings, for supporting me throughout all of my endeavors," Kristina said. "Thank you to the teachers of my past for preparing me for this moment and thank you to GHC for giving me the opportunity to succeed beyond the high school level."
