Basic Food Employment & Training Program (BFET)
Available to students receiving federally issued Basic Food Assistance (sometimes referred to as "food stamps") but are not receiving Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF). BFET students may receive funding to pursue eligible Transfer Programs or Professional/Technical programs, ELA, and basic education pathways.
Eligibility Requirements
- Currently receiving or eligible to receive DSHS Basic Food Assistance
Federal BFA is only allowable for the BFET program. You cannot be receiving Tribal or State BFA. - Must be a currently enrolled GHC student.
- Be enrolled in an approved educational pathway.
- Cannot be receiving DSHS Cash Assistance (May be eligible for WF Benefits instead).

Apply for Funding
This application is used for BFET, OPG, WRT, WF and EAG. Please only complete one application and it will be evaluated for all five programs.
