Office Assistant (Financial Aid)

Summary

The Financial Aid Office Assistant will answer phone calls, email, and walk-in inquiries regarding Financial Aid, as well as assist with filing and other clerical duties in keeping with the objectives of the department.

Typical Duties

  • Office Reception, including greeting and assisting students, faculty, staff, and general public in person, over the phone, via email, and in a virtual environment.
  • Intake, track and file documents with a high level of accuracy; including scanning and indexing paperwork into a document imaging system.
  • Use MS Office Suite and Financial Aid Management systems to electronically maintain and update Financial Aid records
  • Provide assistance to staff in the Financial Aid office as needed.

  • Basic computer skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Exercise maturing in dealing with peers and confidential information
  • Able to work independently and follow directions
  • Reliable
  • Attention to detail
